Selecting Products From ClickBank Marketplace

There are 9 categories of products and services to choose from. Each category consists of a huge list of products, which you can refine by subcategory. If you perform a search, you'll see the results similar to the following:

1) A company's product or name. A brief description of the product.

How To Interpret The Search Results

  • 1) : Shows the current rank of the product for the selected category.
  • A company's product or name: Shows the title of the product. If you click on it, It'll take you to the home page.
  • A brief description of the product: Self explanatory
  • $/Sale: Shows the amount you'll get paid.
  • %/Sale: Shows the commission rate.
  • %Refd: Shows the percentage of transactions generated by affiliates. The 70.0% indicates 70.0% of the transactions are produced by affiliates and 30.0% of the transactions are produced by the owner.
  • Grav: Shows the gravity or amount of affiliates currently promoting the product.
  • view pitch page: Takes you to the sales pitch of the product.
  • create hoplink: Creates an affiliate URL link or HopLink that you can use to promote the product.

Side Note: The higher the gravity the more popular the product is. That product is probably making lots of money, but there are also many affiliates promoting the same product creating lots of competition.

Create Your URL Link or HopLink

Spend some time in the search area of the Clickbank Marketplace. Learn how to narrow your search. Learn how to navigate your way around. Click on the product link, and study about the product. Find an ideal product that appeals to you. Look at each product you want to promote from a customer's perspective. Does it look professional? Would you buy it?

Once you've found a product you like to promote, click on the "Create Hoplink" link. A popup screen will appear titled "Affiliate Program: Promote Products." Enter your ClickBank Nickname, and press the Submit button. Copy your affiliate URL or HopLink.

(i.e. http://YourNickname.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net)

This is the HopLink that you can use to promote the specific product that you've selected. This is the HopLink that ClickBank uses to pay you commissions.

Side Note: I'd always go to the vender's web page and look for the "affiliate" section and generate the HopLink. Some vendors may change how they redirect HopLink. Plus, some vendors offer bonuses to affiliates to help promoting their products.

Confirm That Your HopLink Works

Copy and paste the entire HopLink into the Internet Explorer Address area (i.e. http://YourNickname.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net) and press enter. This will take you to the product's web page. Locate the order button or link, and click on it. Some vendors may use multiple pages to up-sale. Click through until you get to the ClickBank Secured Order Form. Your affiliate Nickname should show up at the bottom of the form. Make sure your Nickname shows up (i.e. [affiliate = YourNickname]). If you don't see your ClickBank Nickname, you may have the incorrect URL or HopLink. Verify that your HopLink is correct, so you can get paid.
